Carpenter & Company, in collaboration with The Beacon Companies, delivered 175 Federal Street in Boston’s now established Financial District. Proximate to South Station, 175 Federal was a catalyst for development in this 24/7 urban neighborhood. At its time, the building was the only in the world in which the upper 12 floors rest atop a special arrangement of super-strong trusses. The trusses support the outer walls of the building well outside the foundation line and the first two floor of the structure.
